Examine the slide at the "feather" edge to the right where the cells are dispersed.
This scan was obtained with a 40x dry objective. Except for an initial view at low power, it is necessary to view the cells at higher magnification using an oil immersion objective.
A rare example of an osteoclast in this specimen. The presence of multiple, distinct nuclei distinguish it from the more common megakaryocytes with a single, multilobed nucleus.
